Yamba is situated in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales just 1.5 hours north of Coffs Harbour and 1.5 hours south of Byron Bay. The tiny settlement of Angourie is just a 10 minute drive south. Discover the Blue Pools, a large unique rock pool set in bushland just behind the beach. It was created when a rock quarry filled with freshwater from a subterranean spring.

Main Beach Yamba with its ocean rock pool is an excellent swimming set-up for any family. Just a little further south is Convent Beach, a white sandy beach nestled in a rocky cove, followed by the long expansive Pippis Beach which is 4WD accessible (as shown in the image) and popular with fishermen and surfers alike. Experience the crisp clean coastal air in one of Yamba's pristine National Parks. Yuraygir National Park offers 10km walking trails and is a water wonderland with isolated beaches, quiet lake systems and striking scenery. Bundjalung National Park is the longest natural coastal river ecosystem on the north coast of New South Wales with lagoons, wetlands, littoral rainforest and coastal cypress.
