21 December 2011The Variety Ride 4 Kids is not a race, with the emphasis being on ensuring that you enjoy a relaxing weekend away, cruising sealed country roads whilst raising much needed funds to empower Queensland kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
As a fundraising event, participants are encouraged to set themselves a fundraising goal prior to the event. This could be as easy as simply asking your mates to sponor you. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
The 2012 Variery Ride 4 Kids takes you on a fully planned two day road trip that's all about having a great ride with your mates and helping Queensland kids in need.
On sealed roads from start to finish the journey starts in Brisbane and tracks south towards Yamba, taking in the beautiful scenery that South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales have to offer. The second day will see riders making their way back to Canungra in Queensland along the Pacific Highway.
Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort is proud to have the riders from Variety Ride 4 Kids staying with us on 21 April 2012.

The Park was recognised in the annual 'Holidays with Kids' travel magazine awards, voted by the national magazine's readership of over 600,000 parents, 61,000 online members and customers of Club Med and TakeABreak.com.au.
Categories included activities for kids, staff hospitality, accommodation, location, safety and family fun.

We are happy to announce that our Tropical Pool has been refurbished and is open for your swimming pleasure!
The new pool has a cabana with thatched roofing, timber decking to relax under, new coping tiles, a water heater (that is friendly on the environment and warm for our bodies) and shade sails to protect our skin from UV rays.
The pool looks fantastic and is sure to be a hit. Come and see for yourself!

Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort is continually striving to improve facilities for our valued guests and we are pleased to introduce new "Cash for Fun" cards.
Guests can use the cards to redeem kids activities and hire activities in the park's hire hut. They are a great way for guests to enjoy a great family holiday without the worry of carrying around extra cash. Unused funds are refundable on return of the card.

Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort hosted their first ever “Never too Old” Fun Day on Saturday 30th July 10 to encourage the young at heart guests in the resort to act like kids for a day. The Fun Day proved to be a fantastic success amongst the long term guests staying at the resort, with 38 attendees.
The event began with a scrumptious BBQ lunch, followed by a number of fun-filled games that kept everyone smiling, including:
- The Golf challenge - Hitting a ping-pong ball with a small putter into a hula-hoop.
- Egg throwing competition - Partners stand opposite each other and throw an egg back and forth, stepping back with each successful catch until the last un-broken egg is left standing.
Guests having a laugh at the egg throwing competition Winners of the egg challenge, Margrett and John Lawson - Go Karts - Guests enjoyed the thrill of catching the breeze through their hair as they rode around the park, others were chauffeured around the park by park staff.
