Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort hosted their first ever “Never too Old” Fun Day on Saturday 30th July 10 to encourage the young at heart guests in the resort to act like kids for a day. The Fun Day proved to be a fantastic success amongst the long term guests staying at the resort, with 38 attendees.
The event began with a scrumptious BBQ lunch, followed by a number of fun-filled games that kept everyone smiling, including:
- The Golf challenge - Hitting a ping-pong ball with a small putter into a hula-hoop.
- Egg throwing competition - Partners stand opposite each other and throw an egg back and forth, stepping back with each successful catch until the last un-broken egg is left standing.

16 April 2010Easter was a huge hit with everyone staying at Blue Dolphin this year! There were hundreds of children running and riding their bicycles and scooters, following the Easter Bunny who was on a train, throwing eggs to them! The day kicked off with a pancake breakfast and we had raffles and fun all day long!

24 February 2010Australia Day 2010 at Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort proved to be a fantastic success with more than 400 people in attendance.
The Blue Dolphin park buggy was decorated, staff were all decked out in their red, white & blue colours, zinc on their noses and their shade hats on.
At 11.30am we began the Aussie Day Celebrations with old fashioned games. Donna from our Service Station provided a BBQ, drinks and ice blocks and Karen, the tattoo lady, were kept busy, spraying Aussie tattoos on our guests. The sno-cone man kept everyone happy with his red cordial icy treats.
At 2.30pm we gathered at the jetty to judge the best decorated bike, scooter and rider. Our Blue Dolphin staff led all competitors around the park on our Blue Dolphin Aussie Bike & Scooter Rally.
What a fantastic day! By 5pm everyone was exhausted but the effort, success and the wonderful comments were well worth it. Thank you to all who participated in this great day. We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

The Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort at Yamba on the far north New South Wales coast has been named Australia's Best Holiday Park by Holidays With Kids magazine. More than 8000 readers responded to the annual survey, in which five NSW parks were ranked among the nation's Top 10. The magazine says the most popular holiday parks in Australia are the ones that "go the extra mile for families, offering resort style facilities and childfriendly activities as well as first-rate service".
